6日(金)午前3時15分ごろから、民間月面着陸「ispace」 SMBC x HAKUTO-R VENTURE MOON着陸応援会の様子をライブで配信します。
2023年4月以来2回目の挑戦。成功すれば民間ではアジア初の快挙です。
日本の宇宙開発スタートアップの「ispace」は、6月6日に成功すれば民間ではアジア初となる月面着陸に挑むと発表しました。

「ispace」は、月への低コストの輸送サービス提供を目指すスタートアップ企業です。
独自の月着陸船と月面探査車を開発し、月面でのデータ収集を行う計画を進めています。
おととし4月の初挑戦は着陸直前で失敗しましたが、2度目の今回は、1月に打ち上げられた後、月に向かって順調に進んでいるということです。
着陸船は5月6日に月の周回軌道に入った後、6月6日の午前4時24分に月面に着陸する予定です。
成功すれば民間としてはアジア初です。
HAKUTO-Rは、ispaceが行うミッション１およびミッション２を総称する、民間月面探査プログラム。独自のランダー（月着陸船）とローバー（月面探査車）を開発して、月面着陸と月面探査の２回のミッションを行う。SpaceXのFalcon 9を使用し、2022年にミッション１（月面着陸ミッション）のランダーの打ち上げを完了。2025年1月15日にミッション2（月面探査ミッション）の打ち上げを完了し、最短2025年6月6日に、月面着陸へ再挑戦の予定。
