「ペットボトルやめます！」無印良品の飲料はアルミ缶入りに
（無印良品を運営する良品計画が、ウーロン茶やソーダなど12種類の飲料の容器をペットボトルからアルミ缶に変更した。これによって内容量が少なくなるほか、ペットボトルよりもコストがかかるということですが、アルミ缶はリサイクル率が約98％と高く、また、光を遮るために賞味期限が長くなり、食品ロスの削減につながるという。国連環境計画の報告書では、1人あたりのプラスチックごみの廃棄量で日本はアメリカに次いで世界2位で、レジ袋やペットボトルの削減をはじめとした脱プラスチックの取り組みの強化が求められている。また、飲料メーカーからなる全国清涼飲料連合会は、使用済みのペットボトルを再びペットボトルとしてリサイクルする割合を2030年までに50％に引き上げる目標を発表している。 国内のペットボトルのリサイクル率は約85％で、多くは食品トレーなどにリサイクルされている。再びペットボトルにリサイクルすることで新たな原料の使用を抑え、温室効果ガスの排出量の削減を目指す。）
ゲノム編集食品って？国内初のトマト流通へ
（国内初の「ゲノム編集」トマトの流通が始まる。ゲノム編集は、遺伝子組み換えとは違い、外部からの遺伝子を加えず元々ある遺伝子を変化させる技術。筑波大学発のベンチャー「サナテックシード」などは、ゲノム編集で他の成分を変えずに血圧の上昇を抑える成分のGABAだけを5倍に増やすことに成功したとしている。このトマトは、2020年12月にゲノム編集を用いた食べ物として国内では初めて国に届け出て、受理された。トマトの実は年内の流通を目指しているという。この『ゲノム編集』技術とはどういったものなのか？）
『カセキポケモン』と本物の化石がコラボ！実物大骨格想像模型も登場。
（恐竜やアンモナイトの化石などが展示されるイベントに、人気ゲーム「ポケットモンスター」の「カセキポケモン」が登場する。ポケモンの骨格想像図が初めて公開され、古生物の標本との比較も楽しむことができる。「ポケモン化石博物館」は、7月から北海道三笠市の三笠市立博物館など全国5カ所で順次開催予定。大昔の地球に存在したアンモナイトなどの「化石・古生物」が展示されるほか、それをモチーフに作られた「カセキポケモン」の骨格想像図が初めて公開され、もとになった古生物の標本との比較を楽しむこともできる。他にも、恐竜の頭骨や始祖鳥のレプリカなども展示されるという。
また、自宅にいながら恐竜をじっくり観察できるという別のサービスも！
